Men Can Have Babies Too

Well, kind of.  If you think about it, we writers are like pregnant women.  We carry our "babies" (our novels) around with us in our heads.  We fret over it.  We are always thinking about it.  And when it finally arrives (either by way of pen and paper or typing information into the computer), we give it a name. We beam and coo over it.  The only difference is that the anguish associated with this particular birth is mental.  Unless you take into consideration the sore and numb fingers, tingling wrists, and eyestrain associated with spending long hours writing by hand or typing at the computer.  And like the physical and mental aspects of a woman who has just given birth, we tend to forget all about the pain and begin thinking about our next attempt.  With that being said, especially to all of my male writer friends out there, what do you think about pregnancy and birth now?
